Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Deciding on weight-loss surgery is personal, and what you read about it should stay that way. We have built The Gastric Sleeve Guide (“we”, “us”) to be light on data and respectful of your privacy. This page explains, in plain terms, what little we collect and what you can do about it.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to easytohealth.com. It describes the information that may be involved when you read our articles, follow a link, or get in touch, and it sets out the choices you have. It does not cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.
Data we collect
We keep collection to a minimum. In practice, this means:
- Information you choose to send us. If you use our Contact page, we receive your message and whatever you include with it, such as a name or email address.
- Standard delivery data. To serve pages securely, our hosting and content delivery network process routine technical details such as your IP address and browser type.
- Aggregated visit data. We may record anonymised, grouped statistics, for example which guides are read most often, so we can tell what is genuinely useful.
A request: please do not send us personal medical or surgical details, such as your weight, BMI, medical history, or planned surgery dates. We cannot give individual medical advice, and email is not a secure channel for sensitive information.
Why we collect it
The little we gather serves three purposes only: to keep the site running and secure, to understand which content helps people most so we can prioritise it, and to reply to messages you send us. That is the whole list.
Analytics and cookies
Where we measure traffic, we use a privacy-conscious analytics provider configured to minimise what it sees, including IP anonymisation and no cross-site tracking. Your reading here is private to you: we do not build a profile of you or follow you around the web. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling. The only parties that handle data on our behalf are the infrastructure providers that make the site work, namely a content delivery network and a privacy-conscious analytics provider. We share personal information beyond this only where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
We hold your correspondence only for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and any sensible follow-up, then remove it. Aggregated analytics are retained no longer than we need to read general trends.
Managing your data and your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete, or restrict the information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these, write to us through our Contact page and we will respond as the law requires.
Children’s privacy
This is a resource for a general adult audience and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age at which they can consent to such processing where they live.
How we protect your information
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard the limited data we hold. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so while we take care, we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the site develops. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you would like to know more about how we handle data, please reach us through the Contact page.
